Machine Operator
- Hal-Far, MaltaWe are looking for a reliable, responsible and proactive Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the machines remain operational, clean and properly maintained, while following company procedures and instructions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the machines in accordance with established procedures and instructions.
- Follow instructions carefully and accurately at all times.
- Ensure that the machines remain operational and are used correctly.
- Keep the machines clean and ensure that the surrounding working area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
- Carry out regular visual checks of the machines and work area.
- Identify and promptly report any faults, technical issues, abnormalities or damage affecting the machine or surrounding area.
- Take appropriate action when minor issues arise, using common sense and available resources within the scope of the role.
- Report any situation that may affect the safe or proper operation of the machine.
- Demonstrate initiative and a practical, resourceful approach when dealing with day-to-day operational issues.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and responsible attitude at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and consistently.
- Good common sense and practical problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to work.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and report problems promptly.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Previous experience operating machinery or working in a similar operational role would be considered an advantage.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
